Computer Support for Businesses
Information Technology staff are expensive but probably still worth their weight in gold! At least good ones are!
All businesses will need specialised computer skills at some time but probably not every day. This is where having a reliable computer support technician is a really cost effective way to provide your business with ongoing IT support.

If you have been watching the TV you will know that the Olympics have started. I have noticed that the winners get a Gold medal, the second best gets a silver and the third best a bronze. I understand why this happen in sports. They need to know who is the fastest, shortest longest etc. etc.
But why do some business do it? I can get a gold service boiler repair plan or a second best silver plan. But why would you want to buy second best?
If you have been watching the news lately you will have noticed that “leaving” is the new big thing.
The UK left the EU, Dave left being prime minister, Andrea left trying to be PM and Nigel left the UKIP leadership, and the rest of us left wondering what’s going to happen next.
Computers-in-Kent are NOT leaving
So you will be pleased to hear that I am not leaving anything.
We all make mistakes….. I have a mobile phone … it’s a smartphone
It has a really great feature …. Predictive text ….. It seems to know what you are thinking and types ahead. - it's brilliant
I was using it the other week to send a message to a friend of mine, an Indonesian lady who tours the country with a small group of ladies promoting tourism and culture on behalf of the Indonesian embassy.
I finished my message to her as I always do … “wish … you….. were …. here”
What do my customers expect?
.. it’s not obvious. They may ask for a new computer, a new website, help with using a computer package, an iPad, programming a marine lighting system extending WiFi signals or sorting out a FitBit.
I suppose you could say they expect problems solving.
But it’s more subtle than that. If you order say Double Glazing you may expect some frames and sheets of glass fitting, but what you are really expecting is comfort, warmth and probably lower heating bills.
I was wondering what makes good service?
Is it Passion, Commitment, Enjoyment, IT Specialism? – I find computers easy but then I am trained.
but is this enough?
NO .... for example ....
I did some work for a new customer, she rents out Holiday villas. She wants me to sort out her website. When I went to see her she already had one produced by a major competitor of mine – and it’s good!
Computers-in-Kent supply, repair, install computers; fix software faults; create websites and provide training. I am fully qualified in IT and in teaching. I am experienced and insured.
So what sets CiK apart from other IT suppliers? …….
Well nothing,
You don’t need to ….
you can use PC World, Argos, Currys, loads of online stores.. you’ll will pay about the same - I’m not cheaper and you’ll probably get the same guarantees
So why would you use me?
Well people do it because they get a better service …
• If you talk to me before you buy I give impartial advice. Some people need a better processor, better graphics handling, more disk space. e.g. graphic designers
